RN, MSN, FNP-C, CNRN Nurse Practitioner Lisa Crimaldi, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner who recently joined the DISC practice in July 2007. She holds specialized certification in neuroscience through the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses and as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She graduated with a Masters of Science in Nursing / Nurse Practitioner degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Phoenix in 2004. She was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society during her tenure. Ms. Crimaldi specialized in neurology from 1993 to 2003, with a neurovascular focus (stroke), and trauma at St. Joseph's Hospital and Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to obtaining her Nurse Practitioner degree in 2004, she held roles in trauma services including clinical trauma nurse coordinator for level one trauma center and educator and prevention specialist. She also worked as a registered nurse in various intensive care units and as a statewide organ recovery coordinator for Arizona's organ procurement agency. During her career, she has lectured and educated medical staff in various venues, served as co-investigator in research trials, served as spokesperson for trauma related events and prevention efforts for the media, facilitated a trauma support group, obtained grants and funding for community outreach projects, served on government task forces, organizations, coalitions, and collaborated with municipalities for community events and projects. As DISC, Ms. Crimaldi works closely with all the physicians in managing and maximizing your care and health. |
