Practice Philosophy
The Arizona Institute of Minimally Invasive Spine Care was formed by Anthony T. Yeung M.D., an orthopedic specialist in minimally invasive spine surgery. We offer a one stop clinic for diagnosing, treating and rehabilitating all types of spinal conditions. Our goal is to provide outstanding and compassionate non-operative and operative care for our patients.

We focus on correctly diagnosing the pain generators that are causing your spine-based pain. In addition to traditional imaging tests (MRI, CT, myelogram, x-rays, EMG/NCV), we are experienced in non-surgical diagnostic and therapeutic techniques including epiduroscopy, nerve blocks, facet injections, transforaminal epidurals, sympathetic blocks, and evocative discography to help define your pain generators. Once your sources of pain are delineated, we develop a well thought-out treatment plan.

Most often non-surgical pain management is best for you. When surgery is indicated, we then offer the most effective minimally invasive treatment for your condition. When your condition is not appropriate for minimally invasive approaches, we can offer the treatment that is best suited for your condition.

The team consists of an interventional pain management anesthesiologist, a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist, physical therapists, a psychologist, an endoscopic spine surgeon, and a fellowship trained spine surgeon specializing in minimally invasive and traditional surgery.
Our specialty is selective endoscopic discectomy, thermal annuloplasty, and evocative discography. These techniques were developed and refined by Dr. Anthony Yeung. They represent the optimal combination of a minimally invasive surgical approach with maximum effectiveness for treating herniated discs and discogenic pain.
