developed by Dr. Anthony Yeung
This technique It is not the same as the Joimax foraminoplasty that uses the outside-in technique. Dr. Yeung's technique is only performed by surgeons that he personally trains, using the YESS Philosophy and technique and utilizing YESS instrumentation.
Dr. Yeung is teaching academic faculty at UNM and Yale his technique and the two institutions are validating his techniques with prospective IRB approved studies. This will aid in the surgery becoming more mainstream by surgeons who will be properly trained to perform the YESS technique safely and correctly. Dr. Yeung also holds workshops to expose and offer training to young surgeons who make the effort to learn how to do this surgery properly.
